The original idea for the board game from the Uttarakhand Mahotsav 2006 which featured a week-long festival of dance, song, and theatre featuring the rich culture of Uttarakhand. The theatre plays in particular derived their stories from the medieval era which remains the most prominent characterization of “authentic” regional culture. A gallery of photos can be browsed below:
