The following still clips are from the Yugmanch Documentary Film, Uttarakhand Ke Lok Nritya that was released in late November 2006 in Nainital. The scenes depicted are those of ritualized swordplay in Dwarahat, an old centre of the Katyuris, and Nainital.
The Uttarakhand Board Game has been developed for educational purposes by Rajiv Rawat, founder of uttarakhand.org and other Uttarakhand-related web sites. In addition to detailing the development of the board game, this new web site will also highlight related historical and cultural aspects of the Uttarakhand Himalayas, in addition to encouraging feedback about the game as both a teaching tool and pure entertainment!
